Fuma Blanc 2022

The name "fume" originates from the word "smoke" in French. The use of the name "Fume Blanc" was first made by Robert Mondavi (one of the most important and influential wine producers in the history of California wine) to give a separate name to a wine of the Sauvignon Blanc variety that has been aged in barrels to distinguish it from a wine of this variety that has not been aged in barrels ( Because of the barrel roasting that contributes "smoky" flavors to the wine).

100% Sauvignon Blanc.
The grapes were harvested by hand at night in the organic vineyard in Shfeya valley at the beginning of August 2022. The cold grapes arrived early in the morning at the winery and immediately entered the process. The grape juice underwent a spontaneous fermentation of the wild yeast and was aged in barrels for 8 months.

A living wine. A healthy wine. An ecological wine.

Organic wine is grown and made in a living, healthy environment, with respect for fertile soil, biodiversity in the vineyard, and the well-being of nature and people alike.

Organic wine ensures a wine free of toxins and rich in flavor, aroma, and color, as well as beneficial components such as antioxidants. It expresses the character of its growing region through taste and aroma, with strong potential for high quality and long aging.

The term ā€œorganicā€ is legally protected.
The word ā€œorganicā€ may be used on wine labels only when both grape growing and winemaking meet strict and clearly defined requirements.

Organic wine is made from grapes grown in vineyards free of toxins, synthetic materials, and genetic engineering. Vineyard management is carried out using ecological methods that protect people and the environment, preserve biodiversity in the vineyard, and maintain soil fertility.

Grape growing, vineyard practices, and winemaking are conducted with full transparency and under continuous supervision. Both the grape grower and the winemaker must be certified as organic producers by an authorized inspection and certification body. The IQC certification seal appears on the label and attests to compliance with all required standards.
